Most people think of infrared lamps as just a way to keep from shivering when you step out of the shower. But we wanted them to do more than just warm you up. We actually tuned the light spectrum to go after the real enemy: moisture. Here’s how it works. Standard heaters just warm up the air. The problem is that air is pretty bad at moving moisture around. Our lamps are different. They send out short-wave radiation that actually sinks into your walls and ceilings. It makes the water molecules vibrate and turns that dampness into vapor. Basically, we’re drying the room from the inside out. As long as your tiles and grout stay warm, condensation can’t settle. And if there’s no water sitting there, mold spores have nowhere to land. Now, to make this work, we use high-wattage quartz elements. You need a lot of heat—and you need it fast—to flash-dry the surfaces before the humidity can settle in. But a heads-up: this puts a bit of a strain on your electrical system. You’ll want to make sure your wiring can handle the initial power surge, otherwise, you’ll be flipping your circuit breaker more often than you’d like. We also added special coatings to those quartz tubes. This helps the heat soak into ceramic and stone much better. The only downside? Those tubes getscorching hot. Like, “don’t touch this or you’ll regret it” hot. That’s why we mount them securely in the ceiling with guards to keep everyone safe. The best part is how it changes the feel of the room. Sure, a vent fan moves damp air around, but these lamps actually kill the source of the dampness. The whole place just feels drier. No more that lingering “musty” smell, and your grout actually stays white instead of turning a nasty shade of black.
